Postponed Start of 2020 Spring
Semester and Changes to Academic Calendar |

To
prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (23 confirmed cases as of Feb. 6
nationwide) and as a result of a thorough examination of guidelines provided by
the Ministry of Education, K-Arts decided to take safety and health of our
students as utmost priority. To prevent the infection and spread of the virus,
the start of spring semester will be postponed (1 week) and changes will be
made to the academic calendar.

□ Guidelines for Changed Schedule
o Classes missed due to the postponed start of
semester and absence of makeup week can be replaced with assignments, etc.
o Courses must continue to comply with
15-hour-per-credit policy despite the postponed start of semester and shortened
academic calendar.
o It is advised to count as attended (as absence of
leave, approved absence, etc.) for those in self-quarantine and students whose
arrival to Korea has been delayed.
