The K-Ballet Repertory Series, a part of
the 15th K-Ballet World 2022, in which professor Kim Yong-geol of the School of
Dance participated as the choreographer, was held in the Grand Theater Mir,
Yongsan Art Hall, from 5 to 9 October.
The K-Ballet Repertory Series is a
performance program to present diverse choreographers’ creative works in and
out of country. Professor Kim of the School of Dance, a former member of the
Korea National Ballet and Paris Opera Ballet, organized the stage,
“Neutrality.” Based on the tragic Sewol Ferry incident in 2014, the piece
questions the virtue of humanity that the members of society ought to have.
Besides, the Korea Ballet Association corporate, established in 1980, annually
hosts the Seoul K-Ballet World, one of the representing festivals of Seoul, and
celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
