From Wednesday, 7 September to Sunday, 11
September, the K-Arts, in collaboration with Ars Electronica, hosts the “2022
Ars Electronica K-ARTS Festival: Human Touch,” which experiments the artistic
creation and exchange in the digital environment. The K-Arts is the only
partner for this online festival. The Ars Electronica Festival is the
world-largest media art festival which annually takes place in September in Linz,
Austria. The K-Arts and Ars Electronica worked in collaborations several times.
With the “2020 Third Life Garden,” the two institutions sought various artistic
attempts to cross the border between the real and virtual. The “2021 Code H”
experimented with the expandability of online education in creative artistic
activities. In 2022, they prepared diverse programs with the “Human Touch,”
which contemplates the post-humanism era and Web 3.0 environment.
The “Human Touch” attempts to tear down a
boundary that distinguished between the human and non-human in the global
crisis and further seeks a humanistic method to connect the human, machine, and
nature in arts. These events also provide the online lecture series, the
virtual showcase of the NFT created by the five young K-Arts artists, and two
pieces of immersive performance of Korean traditional play and dance, an
outcome of the creative integrative arts educational program.
