A
Musical, Sidereus, by Arko-K-Arts Creative Musical Academy Advances to
the Asian Market
Sidereus, a musical piece that celebrates its third season after its premiere in 2017 by the Arko-K-Arts Creative Musical Academy, will be put on stage in Korea, China, and Japan. The work, which initiates from the imagination that astronomers Galileo Galilei and Johannes Kepler back in the 17th century exchanged letters with each other, reconstructs the mélange of the historical facts and figures with the writer’s imagination. The plot follows the journey of Galilei and Kepler’s research on the heliocentric theorem to find the truth about the stars and universe.
Last year, Sidereus signed the license contract
with Shanghai Culture Square, China) and LDH Japan. The Japanese production starts its
season on 17 June by showcasing the license production in the JR East
Performing Arts Center Theatre. The replica production will be presented in
Korea from 26 July to 16 October at the Plus Theater in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and
from 13 August to 21 August at the Shanghai Culture Square in China.
