X KAIST Together Host a Welcome Video Camp for New Students
From 14 to 21 February at the School of Film, TV &
Multimedia building in the K-Arts Seokgwan-dong campus, the K-Arts with KAIST
hosted the “2022 K-Arts X KAIST Welcome Video Camp for New Students.” On 6
January 2022, via the MOU, K-Arts, and KAIST agreed to seek cooperation and
expand support in art-culture and technology integration. The accord included
the effort to increase the opportunities for exchange and collaboration of
students from both institutions.
In this first camp by the two schools, 36 new K-Arts and KAIST students participated. The event held a creative lecture on video and game production and production workshop to enhance the understanding and innovative ideas on media required for the two institutions’ future cooperation and co-production in the field.
Project Manager Lee Seung-moo of the K-Arts Art
& Technology Lab stated, “The emphasis on the integration of art and
science technology becomes more and more crucial today with the advancement of
cutting-edge technology such as metaverse and augmented reality. Through this
event, we expect to provide a sphere of creative exchange between the
prospective talents who will build a foundation in the future.”
