K-Arts Presents the 1st Metaverse Graduation Work Exhibition, “Take-Off to Art-Space!”
From Saturday, 26 to Sunday, 28 February, in correspondence to the COVID-19 circumstances, the K-Arts Art & Technology Lab (AT Lab) hosts a metaverse-based virtual exhibition of graduation works on three online platforms, VRChat, Spatial, and ifland, and at an offline exhibition hall, the Real World immersive exhibition.
In this event, the K-Arts students exhibit their graduation works. Considering it is the students’ last time to present their works as students, the exhibition conveys the themes of young K-Arts artists’ first take-off. At the same time, it also refers to take-off to the metaverse art-space as in the title. The exhibition takes place internationally at various online and offline spaces – overseas platforms such as VRChat, a virtual reality social content platform, Spatial, a virtual exhibition space associated with NFT, and ifland, a domestic metaverse social network service. There will also be an offline exhibition open at the Satellite Station in Seongsu-dong, Seoul.
The VRChat will show a live dance
performance by metaverse avatars, and the ifland will provide the screening and
guest talk. On the Spatial, in an attempt to expand into NFT arts, various
digital artworks of diverse forms, such as painting, architecture, 2D and 3D
computer graphics, dance performance, video, and photography, will be
displayed. The offline exhibition will allow the audience to engage in a unique
interactive experience integrating the live performance and metaverse VR
experience.
