Korean National Research Institute for the Gifted in Arts Hosts the International Symposium 2022

On Wednesday, 12 January at 1 p.m., the Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts (KNIGA) held the 2022 KNIGA International Symposium online on “Artist and Art Education, Inquire into Artificial Intelligence.”

The event focused on the essential questions posed by the challenges of artificial intelligence. With speedy digitalization trends, it is a rapidly rising worldwide issue. From these questions, the symposium tried to provide a turning point to reset the direction of future education for gifted in arts.

In this event, Prof. Lev Manovich of the City University of New York, a world-renowned digital culture theorist, gave the keynote speech. Also, director Patrick Hebron of Adobe’s Machine Intelligence Design group and Prof. Hsien-hao Sebastian Liao of the National Taiwan University delivered presentations to discuss strategies for nurturing the original and creative leaders in arts. Given the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the symposium was open to the pre-registered audience through live streaming on YouTube.
