When the Wind Blows (2021), a Short Film by Kim Jung-hoe of School of Film, TV & Multimedia, Wins the Best Screenplay at the Hainan Short Film Competition for University Students


  

With his short film, When the Wind Blows (2021), Kim Jung-hoe enrolled in the Department of Filmmaking in the School of Film, TV & Multimedia seized the Best Screenplay at the 4th Short Film Competition for University Students held from 7 to 11 December in Hainan, China. 


While the 149 films from more than ten countries entered the contest, director Kim entered with the film he had produced all by himself – including directing, screenplay, and editing – with the funding from Jeju Contents Agency for the production of diversity film. The film follows Sungsik, an unknown actor who works part-time at a pharmacy. The plot unfolds as Sungsik goes back to his hometown upon hearing the news that his old friend is cast the leading role after an audition. There he encounters the past.
