7 Films by K-Arts X TikTok to be Invited and
Screened at the 25th Independent Film & Video Maker’s Forum 2021
As
a result of the university-industry project for nurturing and funding short-form
(short-length video in vertical frame suited for mobile environments and social
networks) creators, the Art and Technology Lab (AT Lab) of the K-Arts Art
Collider screened seven short-form video contents at the 25th Independent Film
& Video Maker’s Forum 2021 (Indie Forum 2021) on July 24 in Megabox
Seongsu. Short-form film contents are considered as the next-generation content
formats that will replace existing video content such as drama or film.
At
the “Indie Expanded 2” session, the AT Lab showcased the seven short films,

the aim of the “Indie Expanded 2” session, the programmers of Indie Forum
explained, “Since the outbreak of COVID-19, watching video contents on various
platforms at home has become popular compared to the decreased tendency of
going to theater or film festivals. Lately, the film industry has invested
human resources and imagination in the fields of short-form or mid-form
content, one-person media, or web drama series. In the “Indie Expanded 2,” we
aim to introduce a new form of video content in the contemporary digital-native
era to vision the future of film.
