Lim Jisun, Current Student of School of Film, TV & Multimedia, Wins the Grand Prize in Korean Competition at the 22nd JIFF

Lim Jisun, our current student of the School of Film, TV & Multimedia, earned the Grand Prize with the film, Kim Min-young of the Report Card, co-directed by filmmaker Lee Jae-eun, in Korean Competition at the 22nd Jeonju International Film Festival (JIFF) on 5 May 21.

Programmer Moon Seok commented that the film seemed to be somewhere between reality and fantasy. Moon noted the portrait of the state of solitude and abandoned feelings, unexpectedly appearing in the main character’s life, was realistic enough to gain empathy from a wide range of audiences. Kim Min-young of the Report Card follows a story of female characters in their twenties who were high-school roommates and talks about emotions of loneliness without providing the conventional styles of plot or narrative.
