Lee Jaehyeong Is Appointed as the Beethoven Orchester Bonn’s Second Concert Master
Violinist Lee Jaehyeong joined the Beethoven Orchester Bonn as the second concert master in last May 1st. Lee, who went through four auditions for this position, is our graduate who completed the gifted in the arts program at the Department of Instrumental Music in the School of Music. He is also known for sibling trio with cellist Lee Hoechan (former assistant principal cello in Myung-Whun Chung One Korea Youth Orchestra) and violist Lee Seohyeun (current member of Deutsche Oper Berlin.)
Founded in 1907 and based in Bonn, Beethoven’s hometown,
Beethoven Orchester Bonn has a hundred fourteen years of history. Great
classical music composers such as Richard G. Strauss or Max Reger (J.
Maximilian Reger) also once conducted this orchestra. Currently, conductor Dirk
Kaftan directs the orchestra since 2017.
