Yun Seojeong (18 years old) ranked the 1st placement in the female category and the 4th placement in the overall rankings in the 49th Prix de Lausanne. Yun currently studies ballet at the Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts (KNIGA), affiliated with the K-Arts. Due to the COVID-19, the contest assessed the candidates via video. Yun performed Kitri solo in Don Quixote and a contemporary ballet piece of Cathy Marston, <Traces.> The Prix de Lausanne is one of the five biggest ballet contests, along with International Ballet Competition (IBC) – Varna, USA IBC, Moscow IBC, and Grand Prix de Paris “Let’s DANCE®.”

Earlier in 2018, Park Hanna and Lee Junsu, two other students of the KNIGA, each won 2nd and 4th prizes in this competition.
