K-ARTS and TikTok are Invited to the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival

A vertical one-minute short film created by the New Media Art & Technology Center and an online video platform TikTok received an official invitation from the 24th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) for the special event. 

The New Media Art & Technology Center is an organization affiliated with the K-Arts Industry Academy Cooperation Foundation and the School of Film, TV & Multimedia. From the first day of the 24th BIFAN on July 9th, a total of ten videos titled “The Vertical One-minute Short Film Showcase: TikTok x K-ARTS” on TikTok application gathered more than 8 thousand followers within five days. Furthermore, the cumulative totals hit 127 million views dated in the morning hours of July 14th. 

The videos were not only available at the kiosk of the festival but are also accessible on the TikTok account with the ID of “@verticalshortfilm.” Besides, to keep with the latest content trends that favor mobile platforms, virtual reality, and shorter content, the New Media Art & Technology Center started and runs a new curriculum for nourishing talented content creators suit for the future media environments.
