Alumnus Park Hae-Joon Gives Impassioned Performance on "The World of the Married"

Alumnus Park Hae-Joon’s New Drama Series The World of the Married  Dominates the Small Screen

Park Hae-Joon, an alumnus of the School of Drama, is in the focus of the public attention these days for his role in JTBC’s new drama series The World of the Married.

The World of the Married is a remake of BBC One’s drama series Doctor Foster. Thanks to the provoking development and the impressive acting of the cast, the series pulled in 14 percent viewer rating only after being broadcasted for four times. The plot develops as it does in BBC One's original work inspired by Greek tragedy Medea.

Lee Tae-Oh (played by Park Hae-Joon) cheated on his wife Ji Sun-Woo (played by Kim Hee-Ae), and their marriage falls into great turmoil. Park is praised for thoroughly portraying Lee Tae-Oh’s complicated character who is swayed between love for his wife and self-love in his insecure situation.

In his acting career, Park Hae-Joon previously starred in other popular TV series and films including Misaeng: Incomplete Life (2014, tvN) and Hwayi: A Monster Boy (2013). In school, he majored in acting, and later he joined Chaimu Theater Company. The theatrical works he participated in as an actor are A Story of Old Thieves (2011), Almost, Maine (2007-2008), and The Moonlight Fairy and the Girl.
