School of Film, TV & Multimedia and BIFF Reach an MOU to Arrange the School’s 30th Anniversary Commemoration
At 5 p.m. on Monday, 9 December 2024, in the meeting room
on the 4th floor of Biff Hill at Busan Cinema Center, the School of
Film, TV & Multimedia in K-Arts (Dean Han Sangjin) and the Busan
International Film Festival (Chairperson Park Kwang-su) with, Prof. Choi
Yongbae of K-Arts in attendance, executed an MOU.
Both institutions confirmed they would co-host a commemoration
for the 30th anniversary of the School of Film, TV & Multimedia (“commemoration
event”) as part of the celebrations for the 30th Busan International
Film Festival (BIFF) at the 30th BIFF from September 17 to 26 this
year. The specifics of the program and the preparation roadmap for the event
will be finalized through further discussions.
Dean Han Sangjin of the School of Film, TV &
Multimedia stated, “The commemoration event will be a significant opportunity
to internationally showcase the past 30 years’ accomplishments, prominent artistic
prowess, and educational infrastructure of the School of Film, TV &
Multimedia.”
Chairperson Park Kwang-su of BIFF responded, “Through cooperation with K-Arts, we will do our utmost to host the 30th BIFF and the commemoration event successfully. We expect this to form a network between the national institutions and largest Asia’s film festivals, consequentially creating synergy.”
Looking ahead, both institutions plan to continue their collaboration, seeking further opportunities for cooperation and support in various projects and program operations.
