K-Arts & LG Yonam Culture Foundation & Korea Mecenat Association Conclude the MOU
On Wednesday, 12 June, at the meeting room in the president’s office on the Seokgwan Campus, K-Arts with LG Yonam Culture Foundation and Korea Meceneat Association signed a memorandum of understanding of “LG Support Project for Integrated Art Prodigy.” It aims to cultivate creative talents and support them to grow into artists fit for the future generation.
The terms of the
agreement include financial support through scholarships to the gifted in
integrated arts enrolled in the KNIGA (5 students), the opportunity to submit the
productions by scholarship awardees to international contests or festivals, and
the equipment of environment for mentoring classes or workshops for current
K-Arts students.
Three parties involved
in the MOU are expecting the KNIGA’s specialized curriculum and K-Arts’s mentoring
classes and workshop programs to contribute to increasing the basis of the advancement
of gifted in integrated arts education. President Kim Daejin of K-Arts stated, “KNIGA
has been playing a significant role in fostering the gifted in arts, especially
in music and dance, as the best institution in the field in Korea. Now with the
LG Yonam Culture Foundation’s support, we will be able to strengthen the
education and research of gifted in integrated arts, which I believe, will become
the stepping stone for integrated arts undergoing digital transition.”
