Department of Art Theory & Korean Art Management Association Co-host the 2023 Academic Symposium

The Department of Art Theory of the School of Visual Arts and the Korean Art Management Association co-presided over an academic symposium, “Today’s Exhibition: Evolution of Methodology and Expansion of Experience.” The event invited experts in the field, examined the main concerns at the exhibit sites, and discussed the plausible countermeasures.

The presentations and general discussion were followed by a congratulatory speech by Prof. Yang Jeong-mu of the Department of Art Theory. The presentation session encompassed various possibilities related to the topic, including “Planning Exhibitions after the Pandemic,” “Metaverse and Gamification,” “Analysis of the social-Cultural Effects of Exhibition Viewing Using the Big Data,” “Forms of Artistic Research and the Matters on Exhibition Methodologies,” “Trends of the Global Visual Art Market,” and others. The participants took part in the general discussion session and shared their views and experiences on the evolution of exhibition methodologies and the related audience experiences after the pandemic.
