Sanghee, a Current Student of the School of Film, TV & Multimedia, Presents “Oneroom-Barbel” at the 2nd Seoul Art & Tech Festival

Sanghee, a media artist enrolled in the Department of Multimedia, School of Film, TV & Multimedia, takes part in the 2023 Seoul Art & Tech Festival: Unfold X with “Oneroom-Barbel,” the winner of the New Animation Award of Distinction in the Prix Ars Electronica 2023. The event will be held from 10 November to 13 December at the former Seoul Station, a gateway for major exchanges in Korean modern history and the starting point of the railway connecting the Eurasian regions.

Under the theme, “The Way Station to the Moon,” the exhibition presents distinguished works in the convergence art field, including the works by Paik Nam June, the master of media art. The audience can experience the verified art forms integrated with technology, such as VR’s, kinetics, haptics, artificial intelligence, and resonance speakers.

Sanghee’s “Oneroom-Barbel” is a VR work that allows the audience to experience the events in the virtual environment through texts, sounds, and images. The work was officially invited to the Immersive Selection of the 80th Venice International Film Festival.
