K-Arts
Arranges the K-Arts Archives for Its 30th Anniversary
The K-Arts Archives presents a special exhibition series showcasing the 30 years of all 6 schools’ history. The first exhibition features the School of Music, which was established in 1993. It will be held from Friday, 1 September to Friday, 29 December.
The school history exhibition organized by the K-Arts Archives will display how 6 schools have formed over the 6 years from 1993 to 1998 in time for each school’s 30th anniversary from 2023 to 2028. The event aims to re-interpret the various historical records of the 20th century from the contemporary perspective while displaying the schools’ history.
The first exhibition of the School of Music, which initiated K-Arts’s history and this series, puts up an official letter by the late Minister of Culture Lee O-young, a blueprint by a development group pursuing the school foundation, hand-written notes and letters by first K-Arts President Lee Kang-sook, original copy of the letter of appointment by South Korea’s president, new student recruitment advertisement of 1993, the posters of the 1st School of Music concert and school anniversary concert, and the photos of school events collected by the first K-Arts president.
As re-organizing and showcasing the past 6 years of school
records, the exhibition aims to convey sincere messages to the school members
and those who love the K-Arts. Encompassing the entire history of the background
and process of K-Arts’s foundation from calling for the installation act to carrying
out enactment, the exhibition shows the purpose and basis for the university’s
establishment. The exhibition is on display in the lobby of the cafeteria on
the Seokgwan-dong campus. More information is available on K-Arts Archives Instagram
