Current and Graduate Students of KNIGA Present Summer Night’s Concert in Belgium
On 10 August in Brussels, Belgium, four current and graduate students
of KNIGA gave a concert at the event hosted by the Korean Cultural Center in
Belgium in cooperation with Love 2 Arts, a Belgian performance organization.
Despite being in the middle of the summer holiday season, the tickets were
quickly sold out within two days of selling.
All of the four performers, Lee Noah (12 years of age), Son Jiwu
(13 years of age), Lee Chan-ki (15 years of age), and Paik Seo-yeon (15 years
of age) are either enrolled in or graduated from the KNIGA. They are prospective
artists in classical music, each of whom already earned recognition in one or
more renowned international music competitions. Cellist Moon Kwang-kyun, an
alumnus of K-Arts who now actively plays in Europe, joined them to present a
special performance.
Ms. Yasmina, a local audience who attended the event, said, “I came
to the concert with a pretty high expectation as I heard the prodigies in
classical music from Korea would perform. Now I found out it was even beyond
the expectation. Especially considering the performers’ young age, their
interpretation and delivery of music was surprisingly superb.”
