Dancer Han Seung-hee Becomes the Member of the Royal Ballet
Ballerina Han Seung-hee, who entered the Royal Ballet School (UK) as a student, in September 2020 when she was a student of the KNIGA (Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts) affiliated with the K-Arts, joined the company as an official member this August.
Han started
learning ballet in her fourth year of elementary school. In the following year
immediately, she began to make good performances in competitions across the
country. As she received a professional ballet education from the Yewon School (Middle
School) and KNIGA, she took the central roles in several performances.
Han Seung-hee
said, “My middle school years was the period I was undergoing a rudimentary procedure
to embody my body to fit for ballet, whereas my years in the Royal Ballet was
the period I was growing up as a ballerina, developing my dance skills and mentality.
The years to come at the Royal Ballet will be a hard process in which I must grow
up as a professional dancer adopting new training while discovering and completing
my originality as a dancer.”
