K-Arts and Gurye County Co-host an Art Camp for Families with Elementary School Children

Based on the MOU, the K-Arts Center for Performance and Exhibition together with Gurye county of South Jeolla province co-hosted an art camp, “Party of School of Magic,” at the Auto Camping site on Jiri Mountain from 25 to 27 August. The School of Magic is an imaginary faculty added to the existing six schools of K-Arts (School of Music, School of Drama, School of Film, TV & Multimedia, School of Dance, School of Visual Arts, and School of Korean Traditional Arts.) The members of the school were made up of 30 groups of families with elementary school children.

The event provided various arts-based activities, including magic tents, a summer night’s musical recital performance, and an educational program for kids by K-Art magicians (current students.)

The K-Arts has contributed to guiding the current and graduate students to take social responsibility as professional artists through various cooperative projects with the local communities, such as the “Cultural Event at Your Door.” Through these means, the local residents can access to rare opportunities for high-quality art-cultural performances or education.
