Rakuten Viki, a global OTT platform, reported that a TV thriller
series, Lies Hidden in My Garden (2023), starring Lim Jiyeon, an alumna
of the School of Drama, is in the top 5 of the most-watched shows in the United
States and Canada. The series is indeed enjoying high popularity in Middle
Asian countries, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia. From the first week of the
international release, the series made it up to the top 5 in over 50 countries,
including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, France,
and others. Its popular streak continued in the second week in 21 countries.
In the series, Lim Jiyeon plays Chu Sang-eun, a victim of domestic violence, struggling to escape from reality. Lim, beforehand, made a strong impression with her latest performance as vicious queen bee Park Yeon-jin in Netflix's hit series "The Glory," proving herself a versatile actress.
