Artist Joo Yeonhee of the Department of Stage Design Participates in the Art
Paris at an Invitation
Joo Yeonhee, who has been working as an NFT artist with the name Andyjay, after graduating from the Department of Stage Design, will participate in various international exhibitions at the invitation. Starting from the Art Shopping Carrousel du Louvre, Paris, France, on 31 March, Joo will attend events in the US, Japan, and Greece.
The NFT which stands for “nonfungible
token” is a digital asset that assigns a unique identification code to content using
a blockchain encrypting technique. Because it can verify the originality by
encoding the addresses to the images, videos, and digital files, like a
certification of authenticity, the NFT is growing its influence in the digital
art market.
While Joo has engaged in the production
of performing stages for opera in Seoul, she started her career as an NFT
artist last autumn. In the world’s largest NFT marketplace, OpenSea, she introduces
herself as “an NFT artist who picks gifts for you” and creates a “picnic”
series of the rabbit characters, “Andy” and “Jay” who go on a picnic with sweet
desserts.
