Dean Kim Sam-jin of the School of Dance Is Granted the Grand Prize in the Korean Creative Dance by the Korea Dance Association

Dean Kim Sam-jin of the School of Dance was awarded the Grand Prize in Dance 2022 in Korean creative dance by the Korea Dance Association. With this award, the Korea Dance Association recognizes the dancers who strived to promote and progress Korean dance.

Kim Sam-jin has served as the professor of the School of Dance since 1996, putting effort into fostering young students and building the structure of professional Korean dance education. In 1984, she founded the Kim Sam Jin Dance Company, taking the leading role in advancing Korean creative dance. In 2021, Kim was appointed the director of the Korean Traditional Performing Arts Foundation. Ever since she has also contributed to popularizing the traditional arts and developing high-quality traditional cultural content while strengthening the autonomy of the Korean traditional performing arts.
