School of Korean Traditional Arts Joins the 2024 Korean Traditional Performing Arts Festival

The K-Arts’s School of Korean Traditional Arts will join the stage of the 2024 Korean Traditional Performing Arts Festival. The Korean Traditional Performing Arts Foundation (KOTPA) supervises and hosts the event. The School of Korean Traditional Arts in collaboration with 3 other universities, Seoul Institute of the Arts, Sehan University, and Chung-Ang University, opens the festival with a performance featuring the elegance and potential of traditional performing arts.

The event takes place in the area around the Blue House (Cheongwadae) from 18 to 19 May, and many graduates of the School of Korean Traditional Arts will perform as representatives of Korea’s next-generation traditional performing arts groups. To promote the value of traditional performing arts and invigorate the audience even more, the participating artists plan to join the side events in groups, such as Team Mischievous Villain in “Drawing the Sound of Instruments” and Team EummaGangkkang in “Making Korean Traditional Puppets, ‘Dulmi.’”
