Kim Bongryol of School of Visual Arts Holds a Book Concert, “Bong Voyage”
On Monday, 24 January, at the Shinyoung Chamber Hall,
professor Kim Bongryol of the Department of Architecture, School of Visual
Arts, hosted a book concert, “Bong Voyage.” At the event, prof. Kim
introduced Kim Bongryol’s Architecture and Humanity: Time of
Architecture, Eternal Now, his publication, which illustrates 28 representative
examples of architecture that reflect their era.
Professor Kim, former president of the K-Arts and expert of Korean ancient-architectural cultural assets, explained the societies at their times, through various cases ranging from the dolmen, the very first primitive architecture to the Dongdaemun Design Plaza, a modern architecture. He further presented the guidance for the future of architecture in a fresh light. In the meantime, Professor Kim is now planning on a field trip program, “Bong Voyage,” where the audience could explore the times of architecture.
