Department
of Stage Design of the School of Drama Opens a Graduation Exhibition
K-Arts Department of Stage Design opened an online graduation exhibition, <Pause: How to Live in the Theater>, which records students' four years dedicated to working on stage, light, costumes, and production design.
Alluding to how people momentarily gather at a theater to make a performance and disperse afterward, the exhibition illuminates the creative processes and spaces – theaters – in the theme of repetitive meeting and separation. "Living space," indicating spatiality, and "temporariness," symbolizing temporality, deliver this theme here. Overall, <Pause: How to Live in the Theater> goes in the shoes of exhibition organizers and shows their gazes and living habits that they have gained from living by the rules of a temporary creative world different from real life.
Although the
exhibition cannot directly deliver a physicality of exhibition place due to the
Coronavirus impact, it uses an online website as a platform with extended time
and space, creating another temporary "living space" per se. The
exhibition is open until December 2021.
