The Korea National University of Arts Together with TikTok Develops a Media Platform for the Next Generation
The Korea National University of Arts Industry-Academy Cooperation Foundation (K-Arts IACF) and the New Media Art and Technology Center under the School of Film, TV & Multimedia cooperate with a mobile video platform TikTok to run a program to sponsor and foster the creators in the related area.
The participants of this program are to make “short-form” videos in freestyle in a yearlong class. The “short-form” videos are short media contents optimized for a mobile device or on a social media platform. They are now replacing the traditional visual media such as drama or movie and emerging as a new media platform for the next generation.
This project fully funds the
production cost for the participants, and in the production process, the experts
in the short-form platform and content fields will give special lectures to
supervise them creating interactive story-telling series or web-drama. The products
of this project will be about a minute long and in a vertical screen resolution
and will be pre-released on TikTok.
