Eunhye of the School of Korean Traditional Arts Earns the Grand Prize in Gugak in
the 7th Korea’s Best Pride Awards
Lee Eunhye, a 57th
Gyeonggi folk song master singer certified by the Intangible Cultural Heritage,
was awarded the Grand Prize for her contribution to advancing gugak in the 7th
Korea’s Best Pride Awards. She studied in the School of Korean Traditional Arts
and now serves as a vocal at the Busan National Gugak Center.
Arranged by Korea’s
Best Pride Innovation Committee, the 7th Korea’s Best Pride Awards credits
people with distinguished social contributions and a sense of community service.
The office of congressman Park Sungjoong, Yonhap News TV, and six other
institutions organized the event. With the prize, Lee Eunhye gained recognition
for her social service spirit and accomplishments in gugak.
